Group Lessons - Level 2 Beginner

• Group lessons for players of all levels:
  • Level 1 Beginner (CFC Rating <600)
  • Level 2 Beginner (CFC Rating 601 – 900)
  • Level 3 Intermediate (CFC Rating 901 – 1200)
  • Level 4 Intermediate (CFC Rating 1201 – 1500)
  • Level 5 Advance (CFC Rating 1500 – 1800)
  • Level 6 Advance (CFC Rating 1800 – 2100)

• 8 weeks of lessons (2 hours per lesson each week)

• Small groups of 8 to 12 students (Maximum of 12 students per group)

• Now accepting registration for Level 2 Beginner! Only one class offered for the first 12 students:
  • When: Monday, March 2, 2020 to April 22, 2020
  • Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Where: Glen Abbey United Church, 1469 Nottinghill Gate, Oakville, ON

• Key Objectives and Expected Group Lesson Outcomes:
  • One hour of structured curriculum-based lesson & exercises and one hour of recorded games
  • All students registered in an online group class for additional lessons and play time outside of class (Online registration fee included in lesson fees)
  • Monitoring of students’ progress with reports provided to parents – one at mid-term and the other at end of term
  • All students to participate in mini CFC rated tournaments
  • Build confidence for students to participate in other CFC and FIDE rated tournaments
  • Group lesson curriculum is focused on tactics and mini strategies for the Opening, Middle and End game
  • Guaranteed improvement for students who actively participate by completing lessons, exercises and assignments
  • Certificate of Completion provided to all successful students at the end of the group lessons

By registering for our group lessons, you consent and agree to our Notice of Filming & Photography.

Refund Policy: No cash refunds on withdrawal. Credit for equal amount will be given if you notify us of withdrawal at least 3 weeks before class begins. Credits can be used to register for tournaments and other programs offered by Elevate My Chess. Registration fee will be forfieted if you don't notify us of withdrawals at least 3 weeks before the first class. However, consideration for credit will be considered in special circumstances on a case by case basis.
